Working with Peterhead Academy

Announcing our new partnership πŸ€πŸ”΅βšͺοΈπŸ’™

From Peterhead Academy:

πŸ’¬ β€œThis week, Peterhead Football Club, our local team with a rich history dating back to 1891, welcomed Mr. McCluskey to Balmoor Stadium to form an exciting new learning partnership with Peterhead Academy. We are thrilled to announce this collaboration with another one of our fantastic community’s most influential organisations, with the football club committing to working alongside our staff to provide contextualised learning experiences for our amazing young people. The club have already agreed to support our latest β€œWidening the Pitch” literacy programme, where an interest in football will be used as a platform to support some of our young people to develop their literacy skills. This is the latest in a long list of learning partnerships designed to empower our young people at Peterhead Academy, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for successful pathways beyond school!”

What started as a request from the PFC Ultras to come along with drums to make some noise back in November has led to our community coming together to create a stand for our young Blue Toon fans to call home and support their local team.

So many thanks to give for bringing this project to fruition:

The Chairman Rodger Morrison for donation of a 40 foot shipping container.

Savoch Hire Ltd for offering to transport the container for works to be carried out.

Peterhead FieldWeld Services for the tremendous job in converting the container to a terraced stand.

PBPservices for the top shotblasting and painting work.

MKM Building Supplies for generously offering sponsorship of the new stand to help meet costs.

You, the fans for digging deep to help us with our fund-raising efforts.

@skeps.42 for the amazing mural added to the back wall.

Jacqueline Geary for choosing the winning name

Sharon and Mandy for project managing an idea through to the end product.

From co-managers Ryan and Jordon:

“First of all a major thanks to all involved with helping Peterhead FC create our very own unique, modernised version of safe standing that will encourage our loyal band of ultras to attend every home game. What a fantastic idea and really well executed.

The quality of work is there for all to see, the graffiti art is excellent and we hope the ultras can not only make the noise they made on Saturday but continue to grow and become the biggest ultra group in the lower leagues of Scotland. Why not?

Hopefully further down the line we can extend their area. They certainly gave the team that extra mile on Saturday when it was needed!

The introduction of “The Rec” will be the first in lower leagues and the possible catalyst for many more teams to encourage more supporters to attend their local games and create a unique atmosphere – Well done PFC”

Sessions are for 90 minutes once a week for 13 weeks.

The Football Fans in Training (FFIT) programme is a healthy living and weight loss programme that was carefully designed to appeal to men and women. It incorporates the latest scientific approaches to weight loss, physical activity and diet and taps the potential of professional football clubs to engage overweight men and women in a weight loss programme. It has been developed and successfully evaluated in a major research project led by the University of Glasgow

The FFIT programme has already been rolled out on 10 separate programmes to a total of 105 men and women  at Peterhead FC during which time the participants increased their knowledge of diet and nutrition and increased their levels of physical activity. The 10 groups comprising 105 people lost a staggering total of 107 stone 11 pounds  ( 577.7kg) with one participant losing just over 3 stone in the 12 week period. Participants from previous programmes will come along and speak to the new participants about their experience.

The programme will be run by former Peterhead FC player and SFA qualified coach/ FFIT trainer, Nat Porter.

If you wish to join the programme or require further information please call Peterhead FC on 01779 478256  or e.mail  : or

Festive Friends 2023

It’s been another hugely successful SPFL Trust Festive Friends initiative this year with 70 in attendance for our Christmas lunch at Balmoor and 65 hampers handed out in the community.

We had a great turnout for our Festive Friends Christmas lunch where we welcomed everyone with beautiful Carol singing by Buchanhaven Primary School P6’s before a delicious meal cooked by Harry Fraser and served up by our Chairman, Directors and our main man out in the community, Nat Porter.

A big thank you goes to all those who were there to lend a hand and make it a lovely day – PC Hislop and the community wardens, Neil Cameron, Lesley Anne Ritchie, Bill Fulton, Jim Taylor, Ian Kennedy, Steven Chalmers, Janette Watt, Mary, Paula, Sonya and Sammy the Scurry.

Youth & Community coach Nat Porter and his crew were out spreading Christmas cheer around town with 65 festive hampers delivered locally. A big thank you goes to Arch Responder Liz Buckett, Charlie and Janette, Ian Kennedy, George Wyness, Barry Watson and Danny Strachan for all their help.

Well done all!

The Buchan Giving Tree

The Buchan Giving Tree

Peterhead FC and The Coffee Shop at Balmoor are delighted to be supporting Buchan Giving Tree SCIO again this year.

The Buchan Giving Tree Appeal supports many local families with children that need a little extra help at Christmas. This year again will be particularly tough and we want to help spread as much Christmas Cheer as possible!

We have already had a huge response from our corporate guests on match days which is greatly appreciated.

Tags are available from the coffee shop and presents can be returned here also.
