Peterhead FC can confirm that first-team coach and player Niall McGinn will leave the club to take up an exciting full-time coaching opportunity with his former club, League of Ireland Premier Division side Derry City FC.
Although Niall’s time at Balmoor in a coaching capacity has been cut short, he has made a positive impression throughout the club. His experience and professionalism have been invaluable within our first-team environment, both as a member of the coaching staff and whenever called upon as a player.
Niall has also made a fantastic contribution away from the first team through his work with Peterhead FC Community Foundation, where he has helped coach and inspire young people across the local area.
While we are naturally disappointed to see him leave, this is a wonderful opportunity for Niall to continue developing his coaching career in a full-time role at a club he knows well.
Our management team are already working to identify the best solution moving forward and will provide a further update in due course.
