Montrose visit Balmoor this Saturday in William Hill League One, with kick-off at 3pm.
Stewart Petrie’s side currently sit sixth in the table, just one point behind the Blue Toon. With both teams still firmly in the hunt for a play-off place, Saturday’s match could prove crucial.
From Ryan Strachan:
It’s been a hectic few weeks schedule with a lot of travel and games in quick succession. We’ve seen some excellent periods against all the top teams in the league so highly encouraging. We’ve also seen some periods where it’s been a stretch too far for us specifically against ICT during the week there where it was a difficult game for a number of reasons and it showed. Credit to Inverness, they reacted well from the weekend and showed us exactly why they are the best team in the league.
On to Saturday against another team we’ve struggled against over the years but must brush that aside and try to take the game to Montrose from the off tomorrow. Similarly Stewart’s team will also be up for it as both teams look to enhance there positioning for the final quarter just off the play-off positions. It’s important we continue our strong home form for the most part and play the game, not the occasion and the boys have been great at that when reminded or required to bounce back.
Team news we will again be without Andy McCarthy, Cieran Dunne and Jack Brown. The rest got through Tuesday unscathed and Josh Kerr who didn’t travel has passed a fitness test which is a big boost”.
