Peterhead FC can confirm that defender David Wilson has left the club by mutual consent.
David came to PFC in 2021 and has been a hugely likeable and well-respected member of the squad during his time at Balmoor, earning the respect of teammates and staff alike through his professionalism, attitude and commitment to the club.
He played an important role in last season’s League Two title-winning campaign, making a valuable contribution to a memorable and successful year for the club. Unfortunately, ongoing injury issues have disrupted his time this season and prevented him from quite finding the consistency, rhythm and game time he would have hoped for.
David departs with the sincere thanks and best wishes of everyone at Peterhead FC. We wish him every success in the next stage of his career, both on and off the pitch.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Peterhead and what we achieved together last year is something I’ll never forget but now is the right time for myself and the club to move on. I’ve met so many good people during my time here and want to wish everyone connected with Peterhead the very best for the future” – Div
