Peterhead head to the Indodrill Stadium tomorrow in William Hill League One with a 3pm KO.
The Blue Toon will be looking to replicate the score from the last time the two sides met, when they ran out 2–1 winners at Balmoor. However, Andy Graham’s side are the in-form team in the league at the moment, unbeaten in their last six outings and climbing steadily up the table.
It promises to be a tight contest, with Peterhead eager to halt the hosts’ momentum and secure valuable points on the road.
From Jordon Brown: “We are all looking forward to being back on league business tomorrow and also excited to be kicking off 3 games in 7 days which of course brings a lot of different challenges to the group. There were of course many positives from last weekend but ultimately we came up just short in achieving our objective of being in that next round of the Scottish cup. We competed really well and showed different sides to our game throughout the whole 120 mins, but fitness wise and showing that never say die attitude against a full time Championship team albeit with 10 men for the last part was brilliant to see and made us proud of everyone that played a part. However those type of defeats leave a real sore feeling and one that makes us even more eager to bounce back from quickly. It probably summarises where the last few weeks have been for us, we just haven’t managed to gain that small margins and percentages and found ourselves the wrong side of them which has seen us fall short but again that gives us great focus and room for improvement.
It’s the start of another difficult period throughout December with games against 3 part time teams before facing Cove at Xmas and they don’t come much more difficult than Alloa away in this league. They are such an established outfit but it’s a ground we haven’t visited in a while and we will look to go there with some confidence from the victory at Balmoor and a game plan that we can execute to secure a positive result. The guys have trained well with the fresh addition of John to the GK side involved too and no matter the setbacks or disappointments, there is always a great attitude and spirit at training as we are all desperate to climb back up the league. Hopefully this can be seen on the pitch and matched with the good backing I’m sure we will again have from the travelling supporters.
Squad wise we are again similar, it was a real positive to get Pete as many unexpected minutes as he got and he came through unscathed. Adam and Div have had small setbacks but are pushing to be involved tomorrow. Dunney is on the road to recovery but we won’t be putting any timescales or pressure on that at the moment”.
