Greenock Morton FC make the trip to Balmoor on Saturday for Round Three of the Scottish Cup.
Jordon and Ryan’s side face a significant challenge as they come up against another full-time Championship outfit, one that has already tested them earlier in the season. Morton were 4–2 winners in their previous visit to Balmoor during the Premier Sports Cup.
The visitors will arrive under a degree of uncertainty, however, following the departure of manager Dougie Imrie this week after his move to Raith Rovers.
From Assistant Manager Jamie McNee “Nothing beats a Scottish cup run. We’re a round better off this time with our entry at this stage being in League 1 yet we’ve found ourselves a really tough draw. We know first hand of Morton and their strengths after our League Cup game in summer. Balmoor again where we love to play and we can only hope for a better result. We have plenty of positives to feed off from the season so far, with balancing our focus on tightening up in areas we’ve not been so good at at some points. Hopefully there’s a big crowd to help push us on against a really strong Championship opposition”.
