Inverness Caledonian Thistle are the visitors to Balmoor on Saturday as the Blue Toon look to continue their fine run of form in William Hill League One.
Scott Kellacher’s side arrive at Balmoor sitting second in the table, following a six-point deduction handed to Hamilton Academical earlier this week. That ruling has also boosted Peterhead’s position as the Blue Toon now find themselves in a play-off spot and will be eager to capitalise on this momentum.
A victory tomorrow would see Peterhead leapfrog the Highlanders in the standings, adding extra incentive to what promises to be an exciting clash.
After three consecutive league wins, including an emphatic triumph over Queen of the South last weekend, the Blue Toon faithful will be hoping for another performance of the same calibre at Balmoor.
From Assistant Manager Jamie McNee: “Off the back of another league win last week and finally seeing ourselves jump up a few places in the standings, we’re all eagerly anticipating another good tie against what we know already to be a top opposition.
I hear the wind machine is up full blast at Balmoor so that will bring its own challenges to both teams who normally try to play with the ball on the deck.
The players available all trained really well during the week and are looking sharp in preparation for this game.
It was great to have Pete back training on Wednesday, a sign that he’s finally looking closer to being available again. Adam, Dunney and Andy all worked with the physios and hopefully won’t be far from a return themselves”.
