It’s back to Balmoor this Saturday as Peterhead head into the penultimate game of the KDM Evolution Trophy preliminary round.
Currently sitting in seventh position, just outside the top six who go into the next round seeded, a win on Saturday will guarantee a top twenty two finish and entry to the next stage.
Hibs B currenlt sit twenty fifth of the thirty teams after three losses and a draw in their previous games.
From Jordon Brown: “It’s great to be previewing a home game again on the back of a crucial away win last weekend that allowed us to finish the first quarter on such a high. We know how important that was to get off our back as a whole squad and gives us an exciting look ahead now to 3 home games this month, all with very different challenges. We are happy with our first quarter although with the nature of the group we are already focused on looking to improve on that, especially in the areas and games we didn’t feel we did ourselves justice or came out the wrong end of a good performance. However, tomorrow gives us another small break from the relentless demands of the league with another KDM cup outing against a premiership B team. We are expecting another tricky outing but will go into it with the exact same focus and professionalism as we done the Aberdeen and Dundee United ones. The result tomorrow is really important as we want to officially qualify but also try to get into that seeded top 6 with 1 game to go after tomorrow. A positive for the club is that this game is on a Saturday again and the attendances we have had in this competition so far have been absolutely brilliant all things considered and that’s shown with the home games being amongst the top attendances for the whole competition. That in turn of course helps drive our performances on and protect that strong home record we look to continue to keep bettering. As always, it doesn’t go unnoticed by the boys.
Squad wise there isn’t too much change and we will use the squad as much as possible to get match fitness into everyone although we do hope there is some progress amongst the pretty extensive injury list come this time next week”.
