Kelty Hearts v Peterhead match preview

Oct 1, 2025

Peterhead head South to New Central Park on Saturday for the last match of the quarter taking on Kelty Hearts with a 3pm KO.

Kelty currently sit ninth in the table, four points behind the Blue Toon after their first win in five came last weekend against Cove Rangers.

After an encouraging 2-1 win at Balmoor v Alloa Athletic last Saturday, Jordon and Ryan will be looking for their first three points on the road before entering a busy October with three home games on the bounce.

From Jamie McNee: “After last week’s 3 points, we’re really eager to get going again so hoping the game goes ahead amidst all the weather warnings.

Kelty look to play a similar style to how we do things and are off the back off their own 3 points last weekend at Cove so it should be a really good game.

We know ourselves what our strengths are and how we need to try and go about things, and we’re also more than aware of where we’d like to show some improvements. If we can attack both of these aspects we are confident against any team in this league.

Kelty is a small, tight pitch. Throw in the wind and we could have both teams having to defend their box quite a bit.

They sound like they’re facing the same injury issues as us at the moment but as I said we’re both of the back of a win so I don’t think we can use any excuses”.
