Peterhead welcome their neighbours from the Granite City for this first time since March 2022 as Cove Rangers make the short trip to Balmoor on Saturday in William Hill League One.
The Blue Toon have had a challenging couple of weeks coming up against two full-time teams in ther last two outings in League One and Saturday will be no different as Paul Hartley’s side will be looking to get their first win of the campaign.
From Assistant Manager Jamie McNee: “I think anybody associated with the club will openly admit the past 2 games have not been the result or performance levels that we expect at Peterhead.
Two tough away fixtures where we had positive moments but nowhere near enough consistency across the two games.
We have the chance tomorrow to really go and turn this feel around with a really good home fixture against yet another full time team.
We’ve had an amazing reaction from the group over the course of the week throughout the different sessions put on – together in Dundee and our local sessions. The intensity metrics have been tracked higher and everybody is really looking forward to having the chance to show our best version again at Balmoor.
The addition of big Aaron is obviously a good boost with the number of injuries we’ve faced within the defence over the last few weeks and we’re all delighted to have him on board”.
