Inverness Caley Thistle v Peterhead match preview

Aug 8, 2025

Peterhead head to the Caledonian Stadium tomorrow to face Caley Thistle in William Hill League One, the first meeting of the two sides in the League having already faced the Highland side five times previously in cup competition.

Both teams have had a positive start to the league campaigm, picking up three points apiece albeit Caley have had a five point deduction so will be looking to wipe out this deficit with a win at home tomorrow. It will be a stern test for the Blue Toon up against a full-time team but they will relish the challenge and the chance to upset the odds against the league favourites.

From Assistand Manager Jamie Mcnee: “After a great home result to kick off our new league campaign, there’s not many bigger away days at our level than the challenge we face tomorrow at Inverness.

ICT themselves are off the back of their own fast start to the league. They look strong at both ends of the pitch, scoring 3 and keeping a clean sheet on the road. They are the league’s favourites, full time and will fancy it on their home turf.

However, these are exactly the games our group live for. Touted as the underdogs, we will be determined to step up and take on the challenge head first”
