Peterhead v Bonnyrigg Rose

Apr 3, 2025

Bonnyrigg Rose are the visitors to Balmoor this Saturday in William Hill League 2 with a 3pm KO.

The Rose are in a poor run of form having only taken one point from their last six and prop up the League 2 table sitting three points below ninth placed Forfar Athletic. As it’s now the business end of the season, Jonny Stewart’s team cannot afford to drop any more points and will therefore be looking for at least a draw to keep them from a relegation play off place.

The Blue Toon currently sit one point above their promotion rivals Eat Fife and co-managers Ryan and Jordon will have the team fired up for this one as they aim for maximum points in the hunt for top spot at season-end.

From First team Coach Jamie McNee: “At this stage of the season it just feels like the games can’t come fast enough, however after 90 mins with 10 men on Saturday we’ve used the time to recover for those who needed it and to get some really good sessions in.

This will be our 8th game against Bonnyrigg since I’ve been at the club and I don’t remember any of them being comfortable. They’ve always been in games and made life difficult, including the previous 3 at Balmoor. We know where they are strong and we looked at their stuff during the week. Everybody knows what an opportunity we have given ourselves coming into these last 5 games but the work done over the past 31 games only counts if we show a positive performance tomorrow and get another 3 points next to our name.

Pete Pawlett and Ben Arnour have both trained well and will be available which are massive boosts coming into these late games”.
