Clyde are the visitors to Balmoor on Saturday in the William Hill League 2 with a 3pm KO.
Clyde currently sit 7th in the league table after a win last weekend against Stranraer and Darren Young’s men will be looking to replicate that performance as Clyde have yet to register an away win this season.
The Blue Toon ran out 4-3 winners on the road to Bonnyrigg Rose last Saturday after a gutsy, resilient display and will look to take that fight into this week’s fixture to keep East Fife within their sights.
From Ryan Strachan: “It’s been quite a positive week, last weekend we showed another side to our game where we stood up to physical challenge and a tight, difficult pitch coming up trumps through great resilience and determination.
This week we’re back at home on a larger pitch with a different set of circumstances. Hopefully we can take that robustness we showed last week, and determination not to give up into this week. Clyde have been difficult opponents for us this year and we must reverse that tomorrow. They’ve picked up for sure, they lost some members of their squad but have taken in players recently that improve the quality and speed of their team.
We are almost completing Q3 and are accumulating steady returns in terms of points but with each week each game gets bigger and the the demand higher. We must stand up to the demands and continue to put points on the board.
Team news, Pete Pawlett trained this week but won’t be risked. Ben Armour is recovering well after surgery and is ahead of schedule for now. Rory has been struggling with his calf these last few weeks but trained well this week. I continue to battle illness and rehabilitate an ongoing hip issue. The rest of the team has a clean bill of health and eager for every Saturday at 3pm”.
