Peterhead head to New Dundas Park this Saturday to face Bonnyrigg Rose in William Hill League 2 with a 3pm KO.
This will be the 3rd game in 7 days for Calum Elliot’s men as they made the long trip North on Tuesday night to take on Elgin in a rearranged fixture that ended in a 3-0 defeat for the Rose. They currently sit 7th in the league table on 25 points.
The Blue Toon will be looking to get back to winning ways after a 2-2 draw v Forfar last Saturday at a windy Balmoor in which the hosts led 2-0 at the break.
From Jordon Brown: “Tomorrow is another tough game with everyone in the league at the moment having something to fight and play for. It is definitely one of the trickiest venues in the league to go to for a number of reasons but we have had a productive week on and off the pitch. We have a gameplan and everyone understands the room for error is getting less and less as we go into a crucial part of the season. Style and stats have been impressive all season from our end and something we as a group are really proud of but now it is solely about finding ways to win games and everyone has to play their part in that. Of course there are some things out of our control that either you need that bit of luck or weather conditions to be in favour but it’s so important we control and take care of the things we can. Eyes will be on results right throughout the league from now until the end of the season but again full focus is on ourselves and believing in each other and the quality we have in the group both individually and as a whole. Everyone is hungry to bounce back tomorrow after a deflating end last weekend and that was evident in 3 competitive training sessions, we know we need to be at it tomorrow from minute 1 as they are looking to protect one of the best home records in the league.
Squad wise is pretty similar to last week, Ben is in early recovery from his ankle surgery and we hope to see him again this season. Rory had a tight calf last week which prevented him from going on but it seems to have eased now. Pete remains out tomorrow but has moved ahead of schedule in his recovery time which will be a real boost for the run in”.
