Forfar Athletic v Peterhead

Nov 22, 2024

The Blue Toon head to Station Park on Saturday to face Forfar Athletic with a 3pm KO.

Forfar are currently bootom of William League 2 but with a newly appointed Manager arriving this week, the Loons will be keen to impress the new man in the dug out, Jim Weir. Peterhead will be looking to get back to winning ways after a disappointing defeat v Edinburgh City at Balmoor last week.

From Co-Manager Jordon Brown: “I think it goes without saying if we could have played another match as soon as last Sunday we would have as there was such a frustrated and almost disbelieving feeling at 5pm last Saturday that we hadn’t picked up any points. It’s a setback but it’s gone now and we know the importance of our reaction now and bouncing back quickly. It’s a difficult one as in our analysis and relflections of the game we know there were a lot of positives to take and if we had played the game 10 times we likely would have at least drawn it almost every other time. We can’t think back or look at league tables at this stage, especially with another tricky venue against a difficult experienced opponent like Forfar who will now be buoyed by the arrival of their new manager. The players and group are all really focused and determined to put the wrongs right again to get back on track. The fans travelled in great numbers to Forfar last year and helped drive us on to 2 spirited displays so we hope for the same backing tomorrow as it doesn’t go unnoticed with the players.
Squad wise the fun and games of training restrictions with weather has started which has meant we haven’t been able to train together as a group but Danny is another week closer. Jack has been under the weather for over a week now so we will monitor his level of readiness for tomorrow and unfortunately Ben has picked up a knock which will need assessed”.
