Peterhead head to Forthbank this Saturday to take on 4th placed Stirling Albion who sit only 2 points behind the Blue Toon after the Binos drew with East Fife in their last League 2 outing.
Fron Co-Manager Ryan Strachan: “It was finally a week to savour after a few weeks of below par performances, certainly for the standard that we look to maintain each week. Last week’s performance demonstrated excellent concentration, fitness levels and game plan execution against one of the best teams in our league. This week will be no different. Stirling Albion are starting to build a solid squad and gaining confidence each week. They were particularly unlucky not to get all three points last week at East Fife. We need to be at our very best at quite a new venue to a lot of our players in recent years. The pitch is usually in very good condition which helps the quality of game for everyone. We must focus on ourselves, our game plan, our effort, commitment and qualities throughout the 90 minutes because if we don’t Stirling have enough in there ranks to punish you with real proven quality players going forward.
Injury news: Jordan Armstrong has recovered from an ankle injury picked up at Elgin and returns to the squad. Danny Strachan still has a knee issue that is slowly settling and wont be rushed. Otherwise we have a clean bill of health and look forward to the test tomorrow afternoon”.
