Peterhead face Dundee-based Lochee United in the second round of the Scottish Gas Men’s Scottish Cup on Saturday with a 3pm KO.
Managed by former Blue Toon player Dougie Cameron, the Blue Bells have had a good start to their season with 7 wins from 8 games played and currently sit in 5th place in the SJFA Midlands League.
Lochee United have another familiar face in their squad with former PFC player Bobby Linn as part of their strikeforce – we look forward to welcoming Dougie, Bobby and the Bule Bells to Balmoor.
From First Team Coach Jamie McNee: “I don’t think anybody at the club is under any illusion that this will be anything other than a really tough game on Saturday and we’re all looking forward to the challenge. We have created plenty of chances and played pretty well as a whole over the last 5 games but we really need to turn these performances into wins. We have a really big, competitive squad giving us plenty of options so everybody will be more than up for it when they get their chance on the pitch”.
Team news: Jordan Armstrong remains out and Scott Ross is struggling with an injury however Ryan Strachan could return to the squad.
