Peterhead kick-off Season 2024/25 with a Premier Sports Group C game against Queen’s Park at Balmoor tomorrow, KO 3pm.
The last meeting between the two sides was in the Scottish Cup back in November 2022 with Queen’s Park running out 3-0 winners with one of the goals coming from former Peterhead player Grant Savoury.
Ryan Strachan gives his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s competitive opener:
“Finally we’re back in the competitive scene, it’s been a long summer enjoying the break but at the same time looking forward to getting back into action.
Tomorrow’s opponent will be a really tough test as they have excellent players and have been stable and competitive in the championship for two seasons now so we know we’re in for a tough test but we’re looking forward to it.
As for us we’re looking forward to continuing with games and want to be competitive in the league stages. We have some excellent fixtures to look forward to so tomorrows game, if we can give ourselves a chance of a result it would set us up nicely for next week.
We can’t underestimate anyone let alone a championship outfit but we’ve got a good feel about us albeit still trying to find top peak fitness and we hope to be competitive tomorrow”.
