Falkirk v Peterhead friendly

Feb 9, 2024

Due to Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic progressing to the next round of the Scottish Cup where the South Edinburgh side face Aberdeen FC, Peterhead are left without a league fixture on Saturday. In the absence of league action this weekend, The Blue Toon travel to Falkirk Stadium to face the League 1 leaders in a friendly on Friday evening.

Head Coach Jamie McNee shares his thoughts of late and how The Blue Toon will treat the friendly against a full time side:

“With no game this weekend it’s a decent opportunity to give all the boys a runout against a good footballing team on a good big pitch. Performances have been a bit hot and cold with two away draws either side of a good home win. Last minute equalisers in both is a big positive to take and speaks of the group’s character.”

The two sides last met in the pre season league cup in July, where the home side ran out 4-1 winners at the Falkirk Stadium.
