The Blue Toon welcome Forfar Athletic to Balmoor tomorrow for the first time since May 2021 with a 3pm KO.
The two sides last met in early October with peterhead running out 3-1 winners over the Angus side with a brace from Conor O’Keefe and an 84th minute goal from Rory McAllister who will miss out on tomorrow’s game after a late send-off in the 2-1 win over Clyde last Saturday.
The Loons currently occupy 8th spot in the League 2 table but Ryan Strachan says that Ray McKinnon’s side cannot be underestimated:
“Forfar will be a difficult physical match, we played them earlier in the season and it surprises me where they are in the league relative to how they performed against us. It’s important we improve from last weeks second half showing and replicate all the positives shown in the first half in particular. Squad-wise we are missing Rory due to suspension and Scott Ross due to illness. Jason brown comes into the squad and Hamish Ritchie also returns”.
