Peterhead v East Fife

Nov 3, 2023

Peterhead host East Fife tomorrow with a 3pm kick off at Balmoor.

Facing East Fife for the 2nd time this season, The Blue Toon will look to replicate the performance and 3-0 scoreline seen on the opening day of the league campaign. After a convincing Scottish Cup victory over visiting Highland League side Clachnacuddin last weekend, Peterhead are eager to continue their positive run of domestic form.

East Fife currently sit 7th in League 2, trailing 9 points to Peterhead who top the league standings. Coming off the back of a dominant 4-0 victory over Stranraer in League 2, East Fife will surely not be overlooked and will be a challenging test for The Blue Toon.

Ahead of welcoming East Fife to Balmoor, Jordon Brown has his say:

“Can’t wait to get the second quarter of the league finally underway after a positive couple of cup games and the Stenny call off. It was great to get the minutes shared around the group last weekend whilst getting back to winning ways. Everyone was delighted for Rory getting his 200 goals, it was special for him to get it at Balmoor too. We must now use that home win as a platform for the next couple of weeks which are the most important in our season so far with 4 games across 2 weeks. Ayr is a tough tie, an established Championship team now but being at home we will look to compete with anyone as we showed against Dundee United. Firstly though, East Fife I am sure will be coming up very determined to prove themselves after our result earlier in the season and also the Scottish Cup disappointment last week. We have to prove we are ready for that challenge and show we are the team at top of the league and want to stay there. Andy is pushing to start the game after his shoulder injury.”

The two sides last met in August on the opening match of the league season where The Blue Toon ran out 3-0 winners; including an early goal of the season contender from Conor O’Keefe.
