Peterhead play host to Elgin City tomorow at Balmoor with a 3pm kick off.
Looking to claim their 2nd home win this season and 3rd consecutive victory, The Blue Toon have been favourable in the history of this fixture with Peterhead coming out on top 27 times from 41 meetings – the Blue Toon have been victorious in 4 of their last 5 meetings.
Ahead of Elgin City, Jordon Brown has his say:
“Really delighted with how everything we asked for went to plan last week and should give us all even more confidence going into an exciting home game. Keeping good control of games defensively gives us a great platform to build on and really looking forward to us being on the front foot tomorrow although we know we can be more clinical at times. On the back of the end to the last home game at Balmoor, everyone is excited to get back out there. We said last week there was a chance to move up the league and we want to still be in the top 2 come 5pm tomorrow which is another good incentive. Elgin will be a tough challenge though as they have improved under the new manager with a good result 2 weeks ago then were unlucky last week and I am sure will look to frustrate us. It is up to ourselves to manage a different type of expectation and show we are capable of producing consistent results at home which we know is key to our success.
Team news: Gibbons is back partial training but not quite ready to be involved. Myself and Hamish still managing with slight niggles. Duthie out long term but was good to have him attend the game last week with us.”
Following last weeks narrow victory over Dumbarton, The Blue Toon rose to 2nd in League 2; 1 point behind leaders Stenhousemuir who face Clyde at home.
