David Wilson signs on

May 12, 2023

Peterhead FC are pleased to announce the contract extension of defender David Wilson on a two-year deal.
The versatile defender joined the Blue Toon two years ago after signing from Elgin City and enjoyed a successful loan spell at Highland League side Inverurie Locos recently where Wilson got some much-needed game time.
With a number of changes to the Balmoor squad this week in preparation for next season, 11 players are now under contract at the club for season 2023-2024.
Wilson says the atmosphere implemented by Co-Managers Ryan Strachan and Jordon Brown was one of many reasons why the defender was keen to extend his stay at Balmoor.
He said, “I’m really happy to get this deal signed and commit to another two years at Balmoor, It’s an excellent club with great people behind the scenes and I’m excited by what Ryan and Jordon are building here at Peterhead.
“The atmosphere in and around the dressing room has improved a lot since they have come in and we already have a good core group for next season. We owe it to the fans to put last season right as we know it wasn’t good enough, we will be doing everything to get the club back into League 1 at the first attempt.”
Co-manager Jordon Brown was delighted the 23-year-old agreed to stay after his rewarding loan spell at Harlaw Park at the business end of last season. He said, “I am delighted David has agreed to stay on for a further two years, he is a versatile player we trust and fits the group well.
“David knows the club and the standards we expect, he’s still a good age and can kick on from his successful loan spell at Locos and improve.”
Everyone at Peterhead FC is delighted that David has extended his stay at Balmoor and look forward to many more memories over the next few years.
