Falkirk preview

Mar 3, 2023

Davie Robertson says it’s important that performances turn into points as Peterhead make the journey south tomorrow to take on  Falkirk.

He said, “Everything is going in the right direction, last week was the first time we were able to play the same team two consecutive weeks in a row and the draw last week has given the players belief.

“You could see we’re getting there and as soon as the final whistle went they were focusing on Falkirk, everyone is ready to go for tomorrow and Falkirk are a young team who will cause you problems if you allow them to play, we will have to upset them a little bit but we have a lot of attacking options now and spoilt for choice a little bit now.

“I think we’re in good shape to cause an upset, the games against Clyde and Kelty was easy to pick a team. After the Clyde game, Jimmy Lindsay said it was the first time that players had been playing in natural positions, it doesn’t happen overnight but the more they play together the better, everything is starting to come together.”

Team News: Danny Strachan will be touch and go after picking up a knock in training while Jordon Brown is fully fit again following his recent injury.

Hamish Ritchie joined in with the players during the warm-up at training this week and Connor O’Keefe had surgery yesterday in the hope he’ll start his recovery in the next few weeks.
