It’s been a busy week for Davie Robertson who is looking forward to today’s match against FC Edinburgh. “We’ve had a two week lay off which is good as it’s allowed us time to focus on our training but we are all itching to get going again and back into real action.” The game in Edinburgh will have a 2pm kick off and we will be playing in our red kit in support of Shelter Scotland’s #NoHomeKit which is raising awareness of Homelessness in Scotland.
Supporters who travel to the game may see Kevin Joshua make his debut with the out of contract Irishman being the first of Robertson’s signings. “Kevin has impressed me and I’ve brought him in to help us out with cover at the back, he’s a strong player and hope that he can do a job for us.”
Davie is under no illusions to the task facing him this afternoon. “FC Edinburgh will not be an easy match for sure but we’ve recharged our batteries and we are looking for an aggressive performance from the players. Looking at the table between second and eighth there isn’t much difference between the teams in terms of points so we will be going there with three points in our mind.”
Our last visit to the capital produced a 2-0 defeat in a game that we felt we should have got something out of as the match was closer than the scoreline suggested. Two late goals sealed the points for the home side in our first ever visit to the redeveloped Meadowbank Stadium.
