A new old face

Peterhead have secured the services of another familiar face with Danny Strachan agreeing a permanent switch to the Blue Toon following his release from Dundee.

Defender Strachan has however outdone fellow returnees Ryan Strachan and Ryan Dow in that he is coming back to Balmoor for a third stint following two loan periods from the Dark Blues in the last two seasons.

During his spells at the club the 19-year-old has played in 23 games, and scored once against East Fife last April, with Peterhead manager Jim McInally saying: “We offered Danny a contract a couple of weeks ago and I am pleased that he has now accepted. He was one of the players that played for 90 minutes in midweek and during that time he showed his versatility by playing at left back as opposed to being on the right as he is usually.”

“He now has the chance to work with us every week which is something that his previous loan deals did not always allow. Danny should be using that to get established in our team.”
