Peterhead’s Mr versatile Alan Cook missed out on last Saturday’s 2-0 win over Alloa as he is being troubled by a niggling shin problem.
The 29 year old who joined the club in Januray 2020 and shown his adaptability ever since will now undergo tests to ensure that there is no underlying problem with manager Jim McInally hoping that he gets the all clear.
Jim said: “Alan was able to complete our pre-season programme and featured in a couple of League Cup ties however the problem kept on returning. In conjunction with our medical people we have opted to take him out of the firing line until it can be looked at further.”
“Hopefully we will get an answer soon.”
