Peterhead manager Jim McInally has been running his eye over several trialists as he looks to assemble his squad for next season.
Up to half a dozen players were offered the chance of trying out for a deal at the Blue Toon next season and several have joined in training and are set to feature when the pre-season games start with Jim saying: “Some boys came in for the first training session and have stuck with us. They look fit however we need to see what they can do in a match environment before taking forward.”
“Others are playing a game of cat and mouse and holding out for full-time offers. That is their choice however they run the risk of missing out as by the time they come here my budget could be used up. I am happy with where we are in terms of signed players including the loan ones but there are still some gaps I would like to fill.”
