Peterhead are delighted to advise that international clearance has now been received for one-time Bradford City attacker Niah Payne.
The 22 year old, who has played English Non-League Football with Shaw Lane, Goole and Bridlington, can now be included in manager Jim McInally’s plans for Tuesday night’s re-arranged Scottish Cup tie with Stenhousemuir at Balmoor.
Also joining the Blue Toon is defender Andrew McDonald who started his career at St Mirren before having spells at Stranraer and Elgin City. The 22 year old returned to his Boys Club St Cadocs last summer to help them get established in the new West of Scotland League however he returned to Borough Briggs in October on loan and has featured in 13 games for the Black and Whites.
McDonald’s loan at Elgin has ended and after his release from St Cadocs he has agreed to join Peterhead with Jim saying: “I am delighted to get Andrew on board. He has experience of senior football and when you consider the problems we have had with injuries this season bringing someone on board like Andrew is a terrific boost.”
