Peterhead look to build on Saturday’s win over Premiership Dundee United by seeing off visitors Brechin City with the Blue Toon’s summer recruit Kyle Bailey believing that a season playing in Norway has him prepared for life at what can be blowly Balmoor.
Londoner Bailey said: “I have really enjoyed my time at Peterhead and it was an amazing feeling to win at the weekend. The boys at the club have been great with me since I came in however, they have only just told me that our ground is quite close to the North Sea and it can be a bit windy.”
“If it is like that I will be fine as playing in Norway means that I am used to that.”
The 26-year-old played in England for Metropolitan Police and in Malta for San Gwann before joining Jim McInally’s side after impressing on trial and he said: “My agent told me that there was a chance I could play in Scotland. After being away from home for a couple of years I had been thinking of returning to London however I thought I would give Peterhead a go.”
“The standard in the squad is great and I have been made to feel very welcome. Scottish football has the reputation of every game being very tough and I don’t mind that. I had heard about Dundee United but I don’t know much about Brechin however I know that it will be a tough encounter and we need to show that Saturday was not a one-off.”
