Peterhead have secured the services of a second talented youngster from Dundee with Lyall Cameron joining his Dens Park team-mate Josh Mulligan on loan at Balmoor for the new season.
The 17-year-old made his Dark Blues first team debut last year in an away game at Raith Rovers in the Betfred Cup and Lyall went on to feature in two further games for James McPake’s side which were a William Hill Scottish Cup tie against Motherwell and a start against Dunfermline in the Ladbrokes Championship.
Balmoor boss Jim McInally is delighted that Dundee view Peterhead as a great place for two of their youngsters to develop as he explained: “I have to thank everyone at Dundee who has helped make these moves happen. Playing against Dundee twice recently must have shown how we try and go about things in the right manner and that their players will be working with a good group.”
“Bringing Josh in had been talked about for a few weeks however the opportunity to bring Lyall in only came about in the last couple of days and I was delighted to get it done.”
“I know all about him as a player and he will enjoy being involved in a first team environment on a weekly basis.”
