Peterhead manager Jim McInally is to give one of the most dazzling talents in junior football the chance to make the grade in senior football after offering Broughty Athletic winger Derryn Kesson a contract for the new campaign.
Kesson, who has been capped three times for the Scottish Futsal national side, has been an ever present during the Blue Toon’s pre-season programme and his creativity has impressed both McInally and the rest of the Balmoor squad
McInally said: “Derryn came into us with a big reputation at another level of football and showed that he has the desire to step-up. He has had to work hard to prove that not only can he go forward but that he can also do the defensive of the game as well.”
“He can go by players really easily and the boys have been impressed with the ability he has and you can tell that he has played Futsal. He has the ability to produce moments of magic however Derryn knows that he has to work even harder now to perform week in and week out at a senior level.”
