Peterhead manager Jim McInally is looking into loan market for new players after running his eyes over a raft of trialists in last weekend’s double-header against Fraserburgh and Formartine United.
McInally, who has signed only defender Gary Mackenzie and attacker Isaac Layne since the end of last season, gave free agents Reece Willison, Lewis Bell, Gregor MacDonald, Thomas Isaac and Derryn Kesson game time in both games however interest has cooled in a number of the players.
Hashim Bakar was injured in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat from the Broch and McInally is waiting to get a full run-down on the extent of his shoulder problem before deciding what to do with the striker.
McInally said: “We had a look at a good number of players at the weekend however it does not look like we will go down the route of signing all of them. There are some that we remain interested in and we have a couple of further games to come before finally making up our mind.”
“I have had a loan deal on a back-burner for a while now and I will be looking to see if we can get that firmed up. There was another loan deal that has gone cold so I will be looking back into the market to see what I can do.”
