A loan deal for a defender from a Premiership club is the next piece of business that Peterhead manager Jim McInally is looking to get over the line.
Defender Gary MacKenzie and striker Isaac Layne have signed up for the new campaign in the past week and now Balmoor boss McInally is closing in on a loan player.
Jim said: “I am pleased that we have started recruiting however I know that we need to bring more bodies in. The one I am concentrating on is a defender from a Premiership side that finished in the top six last season.”
“Discussions so far have been positive however it is not over the line yet.”
