Things have been hectic of late, so little time to update the blog. Here is February and March Highlites. Full Blog will continue from April.

February 2010

·         Completed Sports First Aid Course over 4 evenings.

·         Launched Soccer One Project with Active Schools. Every Tuesday S1 pupils receive training from senior pupils with my support and will play games against other similar projects from Turriff, Fraserburgh and Huntly. (games start after Easter Break)

·         Buchanhaven, Burnhaven and Port Erroll get weekly sessions

·         Monday Night and Friday night After schools continue

·         Mintlaw Active schools get coaching during Mid Term Break at Mintlaw Academy

·         Meeting with Active Schools Primary/Academy and Girls Football officer about trying to   set up a girls football festival

·         Take session for Aberdeen Lewis Lads Club at the Sports Village with Nat Porter

·         Central Nursery  have 4 sessions

·         Boddam Playgroup have 2 sessions

·         Clerkhill Nursery have 4 sessions

·         Little Strikers Nursery programme launched Peterhead

·         Attend SFA Seminar at Stirling University with Ali Hynd. Guest coaches were Neil Mackintosh (SFA Head of Youth Development), Mark McNally (National Technical Development Officer) and Ian Cathro (Dundee United Childrens Academy Manager)

March 2010

·         Attend UEFA B Licence Tutorial day at Toryglen.  Last session before exam in June.

·         Little Strikers proves very popular with 56 children signed up between 4 classes in Peterhead.

·         Look at other venues for Little Strikers

·         Burnhaven , Buchanhaven and Port Erroll continue weekly sessions

·         Monday Night and Friday Night sessions still busy

·         Preparation for Easter Holidays almost done

·         Clerkhill Nursery 4 sessions

·         Boddam Playgroup 2 sessions

·         Soccer one continues

·         Little Strikers secure venues in Fraserburgh and Longside flyer drop commences

·         Easter programme hits problems with closure of Community Centre Hall for roof repairs

·         Meeting at Hampden for SFL Heads of Youth

·         U17s complete regular season with 3-0 victory over Ayr United at home

·         Meeting potential sponsors for Little Strikers Programme 130+ children signed up

·         Easter starts and the snow returns!
